The Physicians will work in consultation with the Chief of Psychiatry as well as the other physicians within the department. There is an on-call requirement as determined by the needs of the department. The Physicians are expected to provide coverage at both sites. The successful candidate will also be responsible for inpatient Hematology consults, benign and malignant at both sites, on a rotating schedule with Hematology colleagues. All Hematology inpatients at both hospital sites are admitted under the hospitalist inpatient care model with Hematologists providing only inpatient consultation services (not MRP). Along with other Department of Medicine subspecialists, Hematologists are required to round approximately one weekend every 8-12 weeks on a Medicine inpatient ward from 8am-5pm on Saturday and Sunday.
