Ultimately, this is where you want to be.   Position Overview Mackenzie Health is currently recruiting a Specialist in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (Physiatrist) on the inpatient musculoskeletal rehabilitation unit (12 High-Intensity and 10 Low-Tolerance Long Duration beds) with opportunities to consult on patients in Complex Continuing Care and Acute Medicine beds in hospital with physiatric needs. The Physician will work in collaboration with the Chief of Family Practice, the Physician Lead, Complex Continuing Care and Palliative Care, and the Physician Lead, Rehabilitation.   Responsibilities As a Physiatrist, the Physician will be responsible for the following: • Provides Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation consultative assessment of physical, mental and occupational rehabilitation needs of patients in the high-intensity rehabilitation program, and on an as-needed basis on LTLD, CCC and Medicine programs at Mackenzie Health Richmond Hill Hospital • Addresses musculoskeletal issues such as pain, deformity, immobility and other physiatric barriers limiting progression within a rehabilitation program, candidacy for a rehabilitation program or other disposition • Works closely with other Mackenzie Health Physiatrist(s) to negotiate cross-hospital consultation or coverage if/when necessary. Opportunity to provide support for MSK consultations at other sites depending on consultation volumes. • Collaborates with community partners to support hospital pathways for small number of patients in other physiatric populations (amputee, stroke, SCI) • Participates in meetings and committees, as required. • Performs duties and responsibilities as agreed upon by the Division Head. • Performs duties and responsibilities outlined in the Hospital By-laws, department and division rules, and applicable policies. Ultimately, this is where you want to be.   Position Overview Mackenzie Health is currently seeking a Locum Otolaryngologist to service both sites with a start in June/July 2024, though flexible. This is a temporary locum position with a minimum commitment of three months, with the possibility of an extended term. The Locum Otolaryngologist would have access to available resources within the Department of Surgery, Division of Otolaryngology for general otolaryngology services. The Otolaryngologist would be expected to provide an equal share of on-call coverage within the Department. Responsibilities include conducting ENT surgeries, maintaining regular OR time, hosting a weekly procedure clinic, participating in on-call duties, and covering office duties.
