Job Description

This is a Summer Student position from May 1, 2026 to August 28, 2026. 
 
The Pharmacy student will receive training and certification to conduct medication histories to gather the Best Possible Medication History (BPMH) for newly admitted patients.
  
 
Contribute to safe, quality care by:
  • Gathering and documenting best possible medication histories (BPMHs) 
  • Opportunity to participate in pharmacy department clinical sharing, peer teaching and learning, as well as job shadowing of clinical pharmacists. 
  • Demonstrated ability to recognize limitation of scope of practice
  • Other duties as assigned.
 
What must you have?
  • One year of an accredited University Pharmacy Program essential (two years preferred) and in good standing

  • Proven attendance record.
  • Demonstrates excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills:  communication, teamwork
  • Demonstrates understanding and complies with patient and staff safety policies and procedures that foster a safe and inclusive environment for all.
  • Ability to perform the essential duties of the job.

Preferably, your profile also includes:
  • Previous related pharmacy experience, an asset
  • Previous related experience in a health care environment, an asset.
  • Familiarity with EPIC® electronic medical record, an asset.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.
