Job Description

Reporting to the Director, Application and End-user Support, the Team Lead, Application and Integration works collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to implement, optimize, support, and maintain the Hospital’s systems, devices and integrations at the Cortellucci Vaughan Hospital, Mackenzie Richmond Hill Hospital and satellites locations. This includes being accountable for supporting smart and non-clinical systems, integration, and managing best customer service support. The Team lead provides leadership, guidance, and support to the teams and ensures the achievement of the digital health strategic goals.

 

 

Contribute to safe, quality care by:

  • Lead system problem solving, changes, upgrades, release, testing and support documentation, and oversee all day-to-day matters related to the supported systems.
  • Identify, address and communicate operational and system issues and drive the resolution of issues in an effective manner which also ensure high customer satisfaction level.
  • Apply broad knowledge of various applications to accurately anticipate organizational impacts and work in a collaborative manner with other teams, vendors, and departments to facilitate best solutions.
  • Coordinate and assign daily tasks, projects, and on-call to team members, ensuring optimal resource allocation and coverage across both sites.
  • Conduct regular meetings and performance reviews.
  • Provide coaching, mentorship, and constructive feedback to foster a culture of high performance and continuous professional development.
  • Foster and initiate a culture of cross training and actively share knowledge in support of the organization’s skills growth.
  • Provide team leadership, input, support and guidance for the implementation of operational and strategic plans of digital health strategies.
  • Other duties as required.

 

What must you have?

  • University degree in computer science or a combination of education and experience.
  • Certification or experience in an ITIL environment is required.

 

What else do you bring?

  • Minimum of five years of progressive experience in Information Technology.
  • Proven experience in a technical leadership role, preferably within a hospital or a related healthcare environment.
  • Strong technical background with in-depth knowledge of smart building systems, clinical technologies, or IT infrastructure.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, effectively using empathy in all interactions with others
  • Ability to identify and communicate operational issues and drive resolution of issues in an effective manner while ensuring high customer satisfaction levels.
  • Ability to handle unusually complex problems, providing highly innovative and creative solutions that will achieve quality and work process improvements.
  • Strong prioritizing, planning, analytical, presentation, people management and interpersonal relationship building skills.
  • Good understanding of risk management, privacy, safety, and quality assurance methodologies as they relate to integration/software engineering.
  • Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.
  • Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Ability to adopt modern information technology and systems with an enthusiastic approach to embracing new and innovative technology solutions.
  • Proven attendance record.
  • Demonstrates understanding and complies with patient and staff safety policies and procedures that foster a safe and inclusive environment for all.
  • Ability to perform the essential duties of the job.
  • Effectively uses empathy in interactions with others.
