The Department of Surgery is seeking a full-time Vascular Surgeon to service both sites. The successful candidate will be working with a strong, supportive, and collegial team in a two-site community hospital organization committed to providing high quality, comprehensive clinical services. This exciting opportunity provides the chance to join our recently designated Level 3 Vascular Program.

 

Mackenzie Health also offers exciting research opportunities through its newly established Office of Clinical Research, fostering innovation and collaboration in clinical care. There will also be unique academic and teaching opportunities for our clinical teams at the York University School of Medicine opening in 2028 located in the Vaughan Healthcare Centre Precinct, directly next to the Cortellucci Vaughan Hospital.

 

Candidates must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and willing to work within interdisciplinary teams.

 

Skills – Abilities – Experience

  • Clinical expertise in diagnosis and treatment of the full spectrum of vascular disease.
  • Ability to perform the essential duties of the job including endovascular, open, and hybrid surgical techniques.
  • Ability to work both independently and as a team member within a group environment.

Education – Certification – License

  • Ability to work Independent or provisional licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO), or eligibility for licensure, is required.
  • Completion of post graduate training in Vascular Surgery.
  • Certification from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons (FRCSC) in Vascular Surgery.
  • Canadian Medical Protection Association or equivalent in good standing.
