Provide support for the facility operations of its plumbing systems, troubleshooting and repairs, which includes maintaining, servicing, repairing, and operating.
Primary Responsibilities
- Able to determine installations through use of building plans and working drawings.
- Test, certify, and repair all makes, models, and sized of backflow prevention devices.
- Repair and maintain plumbing system; burst pipes, clogged drains, washers, valves, fixtures and trim.
- Installs plumbing systems by assembling, positioning and sealing valves, pipe fittings and pipes.
- Test plumbing systems and identifying leaks.
- Knowledge and ability to comply with the plumbing codes by enforcement and adherence.
- Sump pump troubleshooting, repair and replacement.
- Receive and complete work orders in a timely manner and to a high standard of quality.
- Documentation of plumbing alterations and repairs through quality logs.
- Maintains plumbing supplies inventory by checking inventory level, developing job/project material lists and through stock anticipation.
- Keeps plumbing equipment and tools operational. Maintains a safe and clean environment.
- Works shifts to accommodate staff and patients.
- Required to work with little or no supervision.
- Depending on hospital needs, performs any other tasks as directed by the Supervisor or Department Head.
- Other duties as assigned.
What must you have?
- Licensed/certified plumber from a recognized community college/graduate from a related program or equivalent experience.
What else do you bring?
- Minimum of five years verifiable experience in the commercial plumbing service field and able to demonstrate the skills necessary to perform.
- Able to discern relevant information to make effective judgments and decisions.
- Proven attendance record.

- Ability to perform the essential duties of the job.
