Job Description

Reporting to the Director, Occupational Health and Wellness, the incumbent is responsible for the delivery of established occupational health programs, protocols and services; including immunization programs, assessing submitted employee medical documentation, communicable disease surveillance program compliance and other related functions as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

 

 

What must you have?

  • Graduate of a recognized program for Registered Nurses or Registered Practical Nurses.
  • Holds a current general certificate of registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Current BCLS.
  • Minimum one year experience as an Occupational Health Nurse

 

What else do you bring?

  • Strong ability to multi-task and shift priorities as the need arises.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Computer literacy in a Windows environment, utilizing Word, Excel and Outlook at an intermediate level.
  • Proven attendance record.
  • Demonstrates understanding and complies with patient and staff safety policies and procedures that foster a safe and inclusive environment for all.
  • Ability to perform the essential duties of the job.
  • Effectively uses empathy in interactions with others and demonstrates behaviours consistent with Mackenzie Health’s Commitment to Caring.

Preferably, your profile also includes:

  • Diploma/Certificate from a recognized college in Occupational Health Nursing
  • COHN (C) certificate
  • Experience within an acute care environment
  • Experience with Parklane software

 

*You may be required to work at any site of Mackenzie Health.
